Firstly,to be honest,I'm not a chick-flick fan.'Chick-flick',well,the genre doesn't appeal to me since
forever because I always have the mindset of the 'predictable' storyline..well,it does happen for some movies, doesn't it? Okay, you could safely assume that I'm a lil bit skeptical when it comes to happy endings..or a 'happily-ever-after' thing.
Alright, alright.I obliged this time..because this friend of mine loves chick-flicks.And I thought it was a good idea to distressed myself by having a good laugh. And I got to feast myself over some hottie eye candies.
Okay, scratch the last reason. So I said to her that day,"Movie marathons uh? Yeah, why not?" There you go,I ended up watching these two movies with her.
May contain spoilers.Don't proceed if you don't want your popcorn-munching session to be spoiled!
What is the title of the movie,Angela? The Ugly Truth.
Alrighty, which character(s) that I will see the most throughout the movie? Abby (played by Katherine Heigl) is a successful career woman, only to found out that her position is being threatened by an unknown guy,Mike (played by Gerard Butler, yum yum).Occasionally,Abby's beau,Dr. Colin (played by Eric Winter) appeared in some scenes.
Okay, cut the crap,Angela. What can you summed up after you've done watching it? How am I gonna put this? Uhm,basically, its a battle of the sexes in the beginning. It's a 'he said, she said' later after that. After I watched this movie, back in my mind says,"Yeah, the truth is indeed ugly after all..and truth hurts."
Wanna know why I said that? Well, because I have seen it happened. In front of my eyes,to the very least.Alrighty,on the brighter side,well...call me crazy if you want to,but I would love to hang out with Mr. Gerard Butler if I had the chance.A nice chat over some Starbucks sounds like a good idea.Or he could teach me to dance the salsa, heheh.
What do you think of the movie poster,Angela? Don't let the poster fooled your first impression, dear.(By the way, this is my fave version of the poster.)
So,what will you recommend for further watching,Angela? Hmm,by any chance if you're a softie at heart,a secret romantics..and/or just can't get enough of Mr. Butler,I would say 'PS: I Love You'.Okay,I know you would go,
"Wait a sec,Angela..you claimed that you're not a chick-flick fan,and yet you're recommending one!" I was sorta 'watched' that movie. In a way, really. The same friend of mine had read the novel, seen the movie adaptation, and owned a copy of the soundtrack. So,she sorta told me on the stories beforehand.
..owh,and also this one.
What is the title of the movie,Angela? The Proposal.
Alrighty, which character(s) that I will see the most throughout the movie? The focal point of this movie are Margaret Tate (played by Sandra Bullock),and her assistant Andrew Paxton (played by Ryan Reynolds, yum yum.) Oh yeah,I must include the jack-of-all-trades,Ramone (played by Oscar Nunez). He's everywhere!
Okay, cut the crap,Angela. What can you summed up after you've done watching it? To be honest,I'd prefer this movie more than The Ugly Truth. Why? It's because the chemistry between Margaret and Andrew is just..so awesome and amazes me.They're so cute, bubbly and goofy when they're together!I would love to experience the same kind of chemistry too.Heheh.
What do you think of the movie poster,Angela? Her pose looks like a dare to me. Is it okay for a woman to do the proposing job? What do you think?
So,what will you recommend for further watching,Angela? Speaking of
fantabulous chemistry,I think I ought to recommend some of my fave on-screen couples. They've nailed it,and I love it!
Miss Kim Makes 1 Million (also known with other numerous English titles)
I think some of you (Korean drama fans) out there never heard of this series.Although it is not as famous as Full House, but, this is the only drama series that I've
managed to watch till the end.Yup,I'm so glad with the fact that the storyline isn't excessively predictable (and cliché).
Money is a SRS bzness in this series.
V For Vendetta
Hold on,Angela.This movie's neither romantic,nor romantically comedy.Yeah,I know,I know.V and Evey just
pwns, seriously. And they don't have to 'sleep together' just to prove 'it all'.Yeah,I find that 'consensual sex scene(s) bullshitz' are getting annoying.By the way,the snapshot above is one of my fave scenes *giggles*.
Bringing Down The House
This one is hilariously funny.Indeed,I had a great laugh...hello,it's Steve Martin and Queen Latifah, guys! What more could you ask for?
